“I have gone to West Genesee District schools throughout my entire education. I feel that it has prepared me so well for higher education and it has given me endless oppurtunities. A lot of people that do not attend the high school see the new large building and large class size as intimidating. Many classes are not at the maximum, I am in one class that has four students in it. Many of the teachers are good teachers and it takes a good teacher to be hired among the many applicants for open jobs. No school dstrict is perfect but West Genesee is always trying to improve and keep growing.”

I have been to other schools for music/sporting events and i'd say our school has the best/newest/and cleanest facilities. the teachers are great. the students are great. the administration... im not fond of them its a good school go there”

“West Genesee High School is a top notch High School in the Central New York area. I have a senior, freshman and a seventh grader. They have all done well with the programs that are offered either in excel classes or in the early years, speech therapy. The administration and staff genuinely care about the students. Their academic programs are excellent and the teachers push the children to excellence. This school should be rated number one in all the schools in the surrounding areas.”

“Wonderfull selection of courses/classes. Great Arts program. If your child is gifted, athletic and is a good student, they will do well here. Less than stellar students flounder in this big school.”

“West Genesee is a fun and accepting school where everyone is important and everyone has something to do outside of academics, weather its sports, music, dance, etc. the class size isnt a bad thing it expands the oportunity for people to have a lot of friendsWest Genesee is a highly respectable wonderful school.”

“I'm not a parent, but a concerned student, the class size isn't a big deal, but what our district as a whole lacks is good technology and hands on type programs... We should consider the students that don't play sports, or particapate in fine arts. We need a good technology/shop program! DDP (Design Drawing for Production) doesn't cut it.”

“West Genesee definitely holds the title of the best musical program in Central New York schools by far. The chorale is absolutely amazing, and has won state-wide competitions as well as placed very highly (i.e. 2nd and 3rd, never any lower than that) in many nation-wide activities. The symphony is amazing and the wind ensemble are just plain great. Also, they have the #1 marching band in the entire state, and have even won several nation-wide competitions.”

“I belive the school is very good academically but needs to be a bit smaller. (# of students) Too many drugs around the school. The only sport they exceed high at is lacrosse because some people don't care about the rest of them: naming football.”

“Outstanding educational facility. Educators overall are excellent (there are exceptions as with anywhere) but the school has a program that focuses on respect and responsibility which incorporates the entire community. The athletic programs exceeds outstanding! With many students being recommended to Division 1 higher education. The only negative comment might be that class size is too large.”
